Thought I'd share some info I have come across in my research. I have no known connection but thought it might be just what someone else is looking for. First: Found at the Montour County Courthouse records is Death Record for: Alfred J. Cashner died: 15 June 1903, white, male. Age: 33yr. 11 mo. 12 days, not married. Place of birth: Cooper township. Place of death 806 E. Market , Danville, PA. Cause of death: Rheumatism. Duration of Ilness: 10 days. Place of burial: Fairview. Date of internment: 18 June 1903. Father: Daniel Cashner. Mother: Amimtia Cashner. Date of record: 22 April 1904. (my personal note: mother's first name is misspelled in several documents- see additional facts to follow) Secondly, Going back in time this family is listed on the 1900 US Fed. Census for Montour County, Danville, PA as such: Cashner, Daniel (head of household) age 65 born Pennsylvania. Cashner, Arameista, wife, age 55, born Pennsylvania. Cashner, Alfred, son, age 30, born Pennsylvania. They live on Market St.Thirdly, 1870 US Fed. Census on Market Street, Danville, PA Daniel's last name is written as Kashner by the enumerator. Fourthly, found online records for Star of the North Newspaper a wedding announcement published November 16, 1864: Cashner, Daniel of Cooper Township married Armita RICHARD of Cooper Towship. Wedding date: November 3, 1864
