My grandfather was Michele Caso who came here in 1907. He also had two younger brothers. One was Francesco who lived in Staten Island and died there in 1957. The other was Valentino who served in WWI and died at about the age of 38 between 1932 and 1935. I don't know where he lived when he came back from the war. I want to find out more about them.

Hello everybody!
I found this website by chance and I hope you will receive my message...yours were posted a long time ago!
Actually I live in Brussels (Belgium) but my family comes from Asturias, in Spain. I think that almost all those who are called "Caso" comes from over there, and probably originally from the same family. We have grand uncles who have immigrated in the early 19th century in South America and their descendants are still using the old family name "de Caso". Our family lives in Asturias, in a place called "Cabrales". It would be nice if you have the opportunity to go there, it's a really nice place.
Bye!

I believe that the Spanish Caso family is unrelated to the Italian one. However, it is possible that the two are related or that your ancestors were Italian. I know that a number of unrelated Casos came to the United States from both Italy and Spain. Their records are available at the Ellis Island web site.
