Re: Searching for any lost relatives of Macario Castillo d.o.b. 1-17-15

Conrad: I am just now reading your reply, I lost my account info and I was speaking last night to my finace about how to search for anyone who may have known my father. And I found your reply to my 2000 message. I hope you are still online. My mother says my grandfathers name would have been the same as my dads (Macario Castillo) he was married to or with my fathers mother at the time, her name would have been Gavina. My mother thought my father may have had another brother, but wasn't sure if they had the same father, she thinks his name may have been "Geronimo". My father I know was born in Hillsboro,TX.

Hello, my name is Josephine Castillo and my family is from corpus christi and originated somewhere from Mexico. I do not have all the facts. My fathers family is very large. My father is Frank Castillo who was born around Brownsville, Texas and his father was Pedro Castillo. I have been told by many of my uncles that we are decendents of Geronimo. Do you have verification of a family tree that relates you to the Apaches and if so how could someone get verification that they are biologically related to Geronimo. A friend of mine told me that the government can actually take a blood test to verify the geneology to Geronimo. Have you heard of this before?

My cousin is Bardomiano Castillo whose Father was Bardomiano Castillo. We all originate from SLP Mex where we may have recieved the surname. All Castillos of South Texas to include all other surnames who married into our Clan which is one of the oldest and largest Apache de Navajo Dineh (Choko Nde Dineh Ko Tsa Nii Thkli Ha henne) branches. Especially along the Border San Antonio Metro Austin Metro, Dallas Metro, West Texas Houston, Choctaw Apache Reservation, Mescallero, Creek,Cherokke, Ft Sill, Navajo, White Mountain, San Carlos. So there you have where we are where we got our name. We were taken to Mexico back in the Early to mid 1500s. This is from my Grandfther Encarnacion Son Of Valentin Del Castilo son of Herulaxco/Herculano(FLacco the younger) <br> Our place of Origination is saidt o be Jaguey De Los Castillo SLP where Our Ancestors accepted the Spanish surname Del Castillo in Order to Save us the Descendants from being killed as indigenous peoples. We also worked the mines as indentured servants at Warikut(Cerro Quemado)Real de Quatorce, Hacienda de Bocas ( Bardomaino), El Venado/Venadito(Valentin nephew of Sipriano, Plutarco, Saturnino, Primitivo, Juan). Few of us still speak the old language and have prserved its few words which are related to the Choko Nde and Dineh.
