I have just received an email re your interest in the Cathcart family...
John Cathcart & Martha McDowell are as far back as I can find and I have them with seven children
Their son John Cathcart I have marrying Jane Beattie Montford 27/05/1847 and having seven children
I have more on several lines of the Cathcarts down to the present day but am always keen to add more bits of information.
I am currently involved in a DNA matching service for the Cathcarts in the hope that it offers some earlier links.
