Mary's parents were John Caughey and Elizabeth Kerr. John died about 1833 in Lancaster, and is buried in Octoraro Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Elizabeth died about 1832 probably in Lancaster. I suspect there is quite a lot of confusion as to which John was being referred to in the records.
