Lady Jane is my gggg grandmother. Her fathers name was James and he was from Scotland. Jane was born and married in County Down Ireland. They came through Philadelphia,PA around 1790, stayed in Chester PA for a few years, than to Westmoreland County and around 1800 settled in Salem Township Mercer Cnty PA where they raised a family. They are buried in Stevenson Cemetery in Mercer and her gravestone says "Lady Jane". Rev. Robert Richford Roberts sister, Esther, married John Caughey. The book "The life of Rev Robert Roberts" (google books online) mentions the friendship and family ties to the Caugheys. I will have to check out the name Lockwood. A book mentioned Lady Janes mothers last name may have been Jackson. Looking forward to hearing more from your Aunt and you. Take good care.
