Mr. Ed Causby Sr.,83, of Piney Mountain Church Road, Bostic, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Rutherford Hospital.
He was son of the late Fonze and Mittie Philbeck Causby. He was a well known farmer and horse trader, and had retired from Ryder Truck Lines. Ed was a member at Walls Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Causby. Two sons, Edward David Causby Jr. and David Edward Causby, both of Bostic. Two daughters, Melissa Ann Johnson of Forest City, and Carolyn Hopps of Bostic. One stepdaughter, Alice Darlin Deaux of Jacksonville, FL. Two brothers, Ray Causby and Thad Causby, both of Bostic. Three grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Walls Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Causby, Jr. and Rev. Neil Murray will officiate. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 7 PM until 9 PM Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
