I'm a trying to trace my family. I don't have a lot of
information on my family, thus the search. Here is the limited information that I do have. My grandparents were from Mississippi. My grandfather is John Sydney Cauthen.
He was born I believe in Batesville, MS or very near Batesville. I'm guessing the birth to be between 1925-1935. He married my grandmother Kathryn L.
Stansberry from Durant, MS. My grandfather moved and
lived in Freeport, IL for several years. They later
divorced and he settled in Chicago, IL. He is still
living, but resides in Rockford, IL. There were seven
children of that marriage. 5 are still living. Iva
Cauthen, Pamela Cauthen (my mother), Dennis Cauthen,
Karen Cauthen and Wayne Cauthen. My great grandfather
was Crozier (not sure of the spelling) Cauthen. My
mother is not certain if he was born in Florida or
Mississippi, and she is not sure when he was born. I
am going to Batesville, MS this weekend to talk to
grandfather's sister Emma and hopefully find out some
more information. I was hoping that you may have some
helpful information as well. Thank you in advance for
