Buffalo is the modern town of Bethune, about 15 miles outside of Camden.
I have some information on the Cauthens that descended from Thomas Cauthen, Sr (died abt 1820 in Heath Springs, Lancaster, SC near Flat Rock, Kershaw, SC - in turn close to Camden, Kershaw, SC).
