I am working on the family of Dabney Cauthorn, born in Virginia-married to Catherine Lloyd. Most marriage records say her name was Caroline. Pieces of info I have found say her name was Catherine. I am a Lloyd just piecing together more Lloyd history. Info that says her name was Catherine are: 1838 letter written by Joseph Lloyd, great uncle of Catherine. In actual copy of letter, Joseph names her as Catherine, daughter of Stephen Lloyd and Sally Pingstaff.

1850 census from Clarke County, Virginia, records a Dabney Cauthorn - age 60-with wife Catherine-age 65-living at Cattleman's Ferry.

The census and the death record also put into question her birth date which as been listed by researchers as 1795.
