Hi Debbie,
Happy to hear from you on the Cavaliere/Pastore families of Nusco. My grandfather was Amato Cavaliere who came to this country in 1896. On board the same ship was Rachael Rullo who later became his wife. Both are related to Pastore's from Nusco. Amato's mother's name was Rosalina Pastore. Meanwhile Rachael Rullo's mother's maiden name was Filomina Deliatta and her father was Michael Rullo. Michael Rullo's father was Antonio Rullo and his mother's maiden name was Rosa Pastore. I assume all came from Nusco, but have not proved it.
The family settled in Long Island City, Queens, NY, however, there are relatives who live in Latrobe, PA and Washington, DC. I would be interest in any information you have on the Pastore family in Nusco.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Phil Cavalier, grandson of Amato and Rachel.
