I have some other surnames on various lines, but none of the ones you've mentioned. My husband's Italian family all settled in Washington Co., in southwestern PA, outside of Pittsburgh, primarily in Canonsburg, and Washington.

I think you're right! My grandma is Ann. Her mother's name was Rose (Germani) she had a sister Hilda, and brothers Freddie, Nick, and Albert. How are we related?

Caroline's name was Lamberti. She and Antonio divorced shortly after the twins were born.

I think we are cousins. Is your grandmother's name Ann? Was here mother's name Rose? She had a sister Hilda?

I have been searching the family names of Cavalieri, Germani, DiCapua, Pellegrino, and DePascal (DePascale) all in the southwestern Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio region for eight years or so. This definitely is not a "hobby" for those that want instant gratification!

My husband's grandmother was Lucia Maria Propero Antonia Cavalieri born 1 Jan 1884 in Faeto, Foggia, Italy. I have researched her Cavalieri family, from Faeto, back to Guiseppe Cavalieri and Brigida Agrietti, the parents of Francesco Cavalieri born in 1777 in Faeto.

I read your message re:Cavalieri. As far as I know the parents of Giovanni John Cavalieri were Nick and Rose Cavalier. I know he had a brother Antonio Cavalieri born either 1875 or 1879. And I think John was born in 1864. They had a sister Philomena born 12 July 1886. All were born in Faeto. They all settled and died in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

I am not related, but I happen to own a piece of property on Cavalieri Road in Tuolumne County. I was searching for some history of the property and noticed an obit in the local paper (on-line) which refers to a big family. It does not list her father's name.

I have in my possession all of the civil registration microfilm records from San Fili/Bucita.
They consist of the birth, marriage, and death certificates from 1809-1810.
My great grandparents also came from Bucita and San fili.

I have information regarding Ralph Cavalieri. Myself and my family are from the Berwyn/Cicero area of Chicago, IL. My mother was married to Ralph Cavalieri for approximately 6 years in approximately 1927. They divorced, he married another woman and to my knowledge had two daughters, Marsha, born approxmately 1944. I believe the first daughter was 10 yrs older than Marsha. My mother attended his wake/viewing in 1963, I believe was the year he died. I don't know of any other children born to this marriage. My mother is still living, she is 95 yrs old. I've been trying to find "Cavalieri" ties. My grandmother was Rosaria Cavalieri Grasso, she married my grandfather in Carlentini, Sicily, I believe she was from Carlentini and I know he was from Giarria, Sicily, immigrated to USA, settled in Omaha, NE.
This is as far as I can get.

She married Emilio Capozzi, and they immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1903. I have information on her family in Faeto going back to her grandfather. My great-grandfather, Victor Cavalieri, was born near Rome Italy in the late 1800s. He came to America in the 1930s or so and settled in Rochester, New York. He worked in a furniture factory most of his life. He died when he was 88 years old. His wife's maiden name was Baratini. She was a practicing midwife. He had a brother
who settled in the Boston area. It was told to me by one of his daughters that his grand father was an illigitimite child of King Emanuel of Italy. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any more information about the Cavalieri family.

Does anyone know of a John Cavalieri from Foggia(or Faeto) Italy? I already know all about him, like how he came to America when he was 16 and then when he went back to visit he had to serve as a kings gaurd because he was still an italian citizen and the war had just broken out (WWI). what i need to know is, what was his wife's name? her family is alos from the Foggio/Faeto area and she had come to america with a cousin and then met John and they married.

He had a brother John and sister Philomena who immagrated to New Castle, PA sometime in the early 1900's. They did leave some brothers and sisters behind in Italy.
