Donna: My grandfather was Gottardo Cavalli born 21 September 1835 in Intragna, Switzerland. He settled in the Salinas Valley (Monterey County,Soledad) in 1874. My Father was Guy Cavalli, first child born in the U.S. 16 Dec. 1885. His youngest brother was Barney Cavalli, born August 1891. In Soledad is all I Know. Information from Census. I vaguely remember him. He moved to the Central Valley, I think Modesto, but never heard anything else about him.
My Grandmother was Santina Maggini Cavalli. Are we related?
Of course, I am quite old, born in 1922 so this may not ber a connection.
