Cavett marriage info needed

Robert Albert Cavett born 1914 married Gladys Geneva Runions born 1921, but I have not been able to find a copy of the license or marriage bond, if one was registered. Their first child was born 1935. Gladys lived in Polk County TN, and Albert lived in Bradley County TN. Can anyone help?
I have an aunt that said she saw a license once and Gladys's name was listed as Reynolds and she asked why it was wrong, but never got an answer.

I was looking up information today on William Cisco Cavett whom is my great grandfather. His daughter is my grandmother Ollie Bell Cavett. I was surprised to see you were looking also. Please reply back and maybe we can find out more information together.

Nolan Cavitt was my grandmother's (Ida May Cavitt Bucy) brother. I would love to learn more about her family.

Thanks

I have been trying to trace your grandfather back. I have more info then the McDermett but can't go back further than 1900. His mother was Lou ? and his step father was Benjamin Aldridge. If you know more now please let me know.

Sam Cavett kills brother-in-law J. A. Gilliland

Appears in "The Wapanucka Press" 18 August 1904, Wapanucka, Johnston County, Indian Territory, now Oklahoma

McLoud: This city is wrought up with excitement over an encounter between brothers-in-law, which resulted in the death of one of the principals. The men involved wee J. A. Gilliland, proprietor of the Florence Hotel, and Sam Cavett, a drayman and dealer in real estate.

According to the information, the men were enemies because of family troubles of long standing. Gilliland, it is alleged, became partly intoxicated and armed himself with a revolver. He came to town and, while passing the Florence Hotel, of which he is the proprietor, met Cavett. A word or two was passed, and before the passerby could realize the situation, Gilliland drew a revolver and leveled it at Cavett. Cavett, it is said, before Gilliland could use his revolver, drew a knife and cut his brother-in-law’s throat from eart to ear and also stabbed him in two places.

Cavett was placed under arrest and was released on a bond of $5,000.
Yes Rose died from pancreatic cancer. She suffered horribly with pain. She died in Milwaukie Convalescent Center next to your mom's house on Stanley Ave. Bill the head dude there would be the one to talk to about her. Mom and I did the best we could to take care of her at home, but her medical coverage would not allow the high dose of pain med she needed unless she was in a care faciility. She put up a good fight but once she had to surrender Billy to the state for care, she began to go down hill. It took us by surprise how fast she took sick and it still makes me cry to remember how she was in so much pain and how much crying she did. She wanted to be cremated and put in the river so she could travel around the world. Mom did most of the home care, about all I could seem to do was handholding and following her instructions that her custodial granddaughter Chance get to be given back to the tribe.
Cousin Deana

Yes I'm aware of the breast cancer in the family.
My sister Laura battled it. She also battled uterine cancer. I have mammograms..... our great grandmother Laura Ivey Diess died of breast cancer too. There is a thread of cancer in our family.......throat cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, uterine cancer, breast cancer..................we can only take good care of ourselves I guess. Just so you know, the DIess side is full of heart problems 9and my daughter was born with a bad heart and had open heart surgery at two years old...) so watch for heart stuff too.

Cavetts from TN to TX

I am interested in finding any information possible on the William Cisco Cavett family. William was born in 1886 in TN. and he moved to Tx. where he passed away in 1940. He had two sons, one was Douglas Clyde Cavett, which Douglas married Emily Pope and they had one daughter, Patricia Pope Kouba, she is my mother in law.
The other son is Lester Cavett and I know that he had one son by the name of Delee Cavett and from my information he lives in LA.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Cavet/Cavett/Cavitt(etc) + Napier Connections

Just fishing to find out if anyone knows of a Cavet + Napier connection. My GtGtGrandfather's sister (Janet Napier b 1840) is, according to an old family tree we have, supposed to have married a Cavet.

She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and her parents (and her I assume) moved to Edinburgh sometime before 1862. I can find no marriage record in the Scottish GRO listings for such a marriage, nor is there anything obvious in the English listings.

So just wondering if anyone on the Cavet side knows of a connection.

Regards
David Napier
New Zealand

Found this couple in the WV Marriage Record Index. Am not sure if her name is correct. Have only found one Sarah Cavit born in PA, but it appears she ended in Illinois instead of WV. She is listed as Sarah in the 1880 census, but by then she is widowed as this David died in 1876. Anybody think you're connected here?

Hettie Jane Dillon married Thomas Jefferson Dillon. Hattie and Thomas had Mrytle Lee Dillon who married David Monroe Hill,my grand father. Ihave some information about the Tanksersleys from Ballard county TN. Malinda or Melinda Tankersley was the daughter of Sarah Tankersley. I found them listed in the 1870 In census for Ballard County Kentucky, District 1. The following children were listed with Sarah as head of household: 1. Malinda, 16, Mary, 13,, Frances m, 11, James 9, Benjamin, 6, and the youngest daughter Eliza E,4,. All children are listed as being born in Kentucky. Sarah was born in Tn and all the children in Kentucky. Sarah lived with her son in law Edwin W Arivett in 1910 according to the 1910 census in Ballard county. Edwin was married to Elizabeth E. I have found Rufus in the 1860 census living in Ballard County. I have found a R M Cavett who fought in the first Florida War as a member of a volunteer mounted regiment and he filed for his pension in 1908. Rufus also married again later in life. I found Rufus in the 1880 census livinfg with his wife Delila and their daughters C A Cavett and LP Cavett, ages 24 and 19, The census indicates that Rufus was a carpenter and Delila was a housekeeper. Bother were born in TN. Rufus's mother and father were born in Virginia according to the census. Delila's father was bornVirginia and her mother in TN.

This was rumored first name and not a last name. I hope that helps clear this up.

CAVET - County Meath, Ireland

Looking for information on my great-great grandmother Margaret CAVET who married Edward BLAKE circa 1835 in Ireland. They had three children (that I know of) who were born in Navan, County Meath, Ireland:

1. Mary BLAKE - born Sept. 15, 1837
2. Edward BLAKE - born Jan. 1841
3. Thomas BLAKE - born ca. 1843

The three children immigrated to New York (Mary in 1870, Edward in 1869, and Thomas in 1880/1881) and they eventually settled in Westchester County. I don't know if their parents immigrated. I haven't been able to find much information on them.
