Zachary Ross Caviness

Zachary Ross Caviness continues to warm our hearts with his joyful smile as he sits at the hand of the Lord this day. Zac's gentle approach to life ended too soon Sunday, August 8th in an auto accident as he was on his way to spend time with a friend. Born in Enid, OK March 4, 1988 Zac grew into a young man prepared to experience life with his many loves and talents. Put a skateboard, snowboard, sketch pad and pencil or Bob Marley CD in his hands and he was thrilled with the energy and youth bestowed upon him by God. Zac and his mother and sister moved to Edmond in 1994 where he attended Angie Debo Elementary, Summit Middle School and was a junior at Edmond Sante Fe High School. He was one of the passionate, colorful members of the Sante Fe Art Club, enthusiastic supporter of S.A.D.D. and Multicultural Club sought adventure and responsibility in the Civil Air Patrol. Zac is survived by his mother, Linda McGee and sister Catherine Caviness of Edmond, three brothers; Richard Henneke and his wife Denise, of Enid, Matthew Henneke of Stillwater and Brian Caviness of Enid, his Grandfather, Burney 'Pa' Smither, Aunt, Brenda Smither and a niece and nephew. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Virginia Smither of Enid. Zac intended to take his passion and dreams, following graduation, to California, to attend art school. What a following his work would have generated. His accomplished talent and soothing love were sure to enchant anyone he touched. The body is available for viewing, Wednesday August 11th at Guardian North Funeral Home. Services are 10:00am Thursday August 12, 2004 at Quail Springs Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at the Enid Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made in the name of Zac Caviness to the Computer Empire Foundation for Kids 3401 NE 16th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73117. Zac, please forgive us the tears but you made our lives so much better, so much more fulfilled and so enveloped in love. Zac we miss you and love you. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N. Pennsylvania 752-9292
