In the 1860 census, my great grandfather, Martin O'Brien, is 12 years old living with J. and Rosa Cawley in Mazomanie, WI. His mother Bridget O'brien died in 1855 and his father Martin O'brien died in 1856 in Oak Creek, WI. I feel like there is a connection to my O'briens with the Cawleys. I know that my great grandfather Martin felt close enough to Rosa to list her as his mother on his marriage application in 1897.
