It is interesting that you have heard that Alderilde is part native american. My great grandmother was Palmyre Houde LeBlanc. We have also heard that Palmyre's mother, Ludmille Bedard Houde, was half native american. Palmyre's grandmother was Julia Constance Sevigny. I believe that Julia Constance was the sister of Regis Sevigny. Regis was the father of Ludmille Sevigny, Alderilde's mother. Julia Constance Sevigny Bedard was the mother of Ludmille Bedard Houde. Ludmille Bedard Houde was Palmyre's mother. That would make Palmyre Houde Leblanc and Alderilde Cayer third cousins. I have been unable to find evidence of this native american ancestry. However, now I think that there must be something to this. We both heard the same type of thing. Our common denominator is the Sevigy name. I wonder if they were part native american. Also, Palmyre Houde Leblanc emmigrated to Dover, NH. I noticed that that there was a Cayer grave in St. Charles cemetery in Dover, NH that includes your ancestors. Please contact me.
