Hello, Nice to hear from you. My grandfather is the only one I can find. Most of his life he was called George Edward, but his real name was George Edward Cayes. He was born in Monroe County, FL. He is a decendant of the Welters of Monroe County. Feel free to check out my family tree information by searching for George Cayes. How do you pronounce your last name? Cay'es or Cayes

Hi. I just found the board. I'm a Cayes, born NH. Bruce is my brother. I was so excited to see the board. I haven't found Cayes in Florida. I found an Ernest R Cayes in San Francisco, d:abt Nov 11, 2008. Drury Cayes, Kentucky Military, civil war solider 1861-1865.

Hello my name is shannon cayes and we are about the same age I also grew up in NH and now live in RI I believe about 80% sure that one of the people who responded to you is my uncle a brother of my real father, an uncle I have never met but heard about from my mother.

Found your message and thought I would post and inquiry.

My grandfather was a Cayes who originated from Key West, Florida.

His mother was Maude Welters and father unknown. He had one sister Anne Cayes who moved to New York.

There is not history of any Cayes living in the Keys that I can find.

Hi there, I'm not sure of any connection to Fl. but there is alot of Cayes' people out there I guess. Maybe we are related. My grandfather was Reginald, and I'm pretty sure his father was an Edward also. So maybe we are related too. ...somehow. .. who knows write back to my E mail if you like. thanks

Hello,my name is Lorraine M Cayes I m the daughter of Eugene Reginald Cayes and Mayrain Melikian ( both deceased) I am 30 years old and have 2 children of my own Allison and Benjamin Cayes.
