Cayo Surname

Bill,

This is your cousin again. The Cayo surname is originally French beginning with a Thomas Cailleau born in France. His son Pierre my direct ancestor also born in France emigrated to Canada in 1641 and later changed the Cailleau to Caillia which many generations later became Caya then when my grandfather Ernest Patrick Caya came to the US he americanized it to Cayo. That is the version for my ancestry there are probably others ot there. Once again I'm willing to pass on any information to you and other Cayo relatives.
