My great grandmother's name was Angeline Caya and she was born in Canada and I believe in or near Quebec on an Indian Reservation 10-4-1858. I do not know of what Indian tribe.

I have been told that when the Catholic missionaries came they changed her name from Des Anges Cayard to Angeline Caya. She married Joseph Patrick also of Canada and migrated to the United States and settled in Massachutes. My grandmother Mary Jane (Eva) Crump was born in Northampton MA 7-1-1882.
