Scipio, Cayuga - Butler & Sawtell 1700's

I am looking for any information about JOHN BUTLER (1763 in Scipio-1828) and MILLEY SAWTELL (1773-1835). Of particular interest are the parents of John who was born June 26, 1763 in Scipio, Cayuga, New York.

ANY information on their ancestors or migration to Geauga County, Ohio would be appreciated.

There doesn't seem to be any people in my family with those names. What is their timeframe?

Something interesting came up for me ... my gg grandfather Jesse Cayuga married two women with the same name! Actually, he only married one, but had more children with the other. He married my gg grandmother Ellen (aka Nelly) and they had 2 children: Edan - my g grandmother & Effie; then he had a relationship with the other Ellen (aka Nelly) and they had 5 children: Carline, Lollie, Jesse, John and Marshall.

Sago / Hello Martha, I have been looking for family members to the Cayuga side of my family for sometime now. My great grandmother was Edna Cayuga ... she married (Percy) Roy Lickers. Edna's parents were Jesse & Ellen (Nellie) Cayuga. I believe Edna's maiden name was Fraser.
Six Nations reserve.

In a very old family album I have a Memorial Card for a
Mrs. Mary A. Lester, Died July 14, 1890, Aged 80 Years.
The usual poems etc. above and below this info. The reverse says W A. Reedle, Printer, Cumberland, Ohio. I have no idea of how this MAL is connected to my Cayuga County families of Ward, Hawley, Titus, Tobias,Yawger, Hoagland as they are the basic families connected to the album. Mary may be related or a dear friend. Just thought I'd mention it now in that there are presently so many posts about the Lester surname. I would love some help in making the connection and would be happy to send jpeg or hard copy to any MAL descendants.

I'm trying to trace my family from cayuga co NY. first the Garret Van Schaick family, he was born about 1790 married to Catherine? (possibly), daughter Sophronia Van Schaick born about 1818, she married samuel French in Summer Hill 1834, their children are: Lydia 1838 M> a Robbins; Marquis 1838 M< Sophia leonard & Jennie Croft; William 1841; david j 1847 M< Della Cummings (my line) ; Dexter 1852 M< Helen walker; Frances 1854; Martha 1856 M>a Penird;n Ella 1860 M< a Stanton; george 1850-1850. Cayuga County Surnames

Interested in connecting with families from Cayuga County, NY, from the first half of the 1800's. Surnames: Rodgers, Thompson, Sabin, or Lester, or variations of these. John Thompson lived in Victory, Cayuga County from about 1818 until his death in 1831. He had a daughter, Lucy, who married Duncan Rodgers, and their daughters married men of the name, Lester, ca.1845. Any connections? Thanks in advance.
