John, first child of John and Catherine, lived in Wayne County NY and seemed to have a LOT of children (many who moved to Michigan, per his will), but I can't find any info on his wife, the mother of all the children. You show John's birth year as 1778 although his death notice and a passage from a Wayne County book says he died at the age of 102 in 1867 - a birth year of 1765 would make it a little tough for him to be the son of John & Catherine Gano Caywood. I really believe 1778 is more accurate (and fits with some census ages I've seen), but I can't find anything documenting that year - do you have something? I received a copy of John Caywood's will from Wayne County (died 1867) and it lists names of his heirs - Garrett must have died before 1867, but it lists "Thomas Caywood, Heiler(?) Perino(?), John Caywood, all of Pulaski Michigan..." Does that middle name mean anything to you? My family line is:
