Voris C. Cearlock, 87, of Decatur died 10:05 p.m., September 4, 1999 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Springfield.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1999) at Brintlinger.

Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 7, 1999) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Mr. Cearlock was born March 17, 1912 in Pana, Illinois the son of Claude and Audria Carney Cearlock. He married Nellie Tunstall January 6, 1945 in Haunington, England. She preceded him in death May 19, 1992. Mr. Cearlock was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, American Federation of Grain Millers and a D.A.V. Lifetime member. Mr. Cearlock worked at ADM for 32 years. He was a long standing member of Central Illinois Chapter of the P.O.A. Club.

Surviving are his Daughters Maureen Kaufman and husband Larry of Argenta; Mary Porter and husband Brad and Tammy Gray and husband Gary all of Springfield; Jewell Youngand husband Mike of Decatur; Sons Duane Cearlock of Texas; Nyle Cearlock of Morgan Hill, CA; Bruce Cearlock of Oakland, CA; and Delbert Cearlock of Decatur, Brothers Tracy Cearlock of Batavia, IL; Ross Cearlock of Arizona; and Forrest Cearlock of Pana, IL; 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, 1 sister, a daughter Joyce Jean Cearlock and 1 grandson Michael Cearlock.
