Mobile, Alabama newspaper, Wed. March 2, 1904
"George Cephas, an elder in the colored Baptist church in the Mobile district, was found murdered at his home in Cottage Hill six miles from the city, yesterday morning. There is no clue to the murderer, nor have the county authorities been able to discover a motive for the crime, the dead Negro being well thought of among his people and not having any enemies, so far as known."
Not my line, just sharing.
