Not sure of this name off hand but a daughter of E. G. Rogers married Isac Chadick but I am looking for information on a different Rogers that married John Sewell, Louisa Troup Rogers.

My name id James M. Chadick. I may be able to give you some directions as I am now 89 years old and the only remaining Chadick from the 1922 era. Most of my cousins had children and only I am living from my fathers generation. My father was Luther Chadick. Our name has been spelled Chaddick for years during my Hischool years. I have a picture of Rev. Charles Albert Chadick and wife Elizabeth Shell Chadick identified on back as "Rev. Chadick and Wife" that I have posted on Ancestry.com.

Also posted is another one of a single woman identified as "Wife of Reverend Chadick" - this does not look like the same woman to me as the couple picture?

If anyone sees these and knows id or has comments, please let me know!

Maybe everyone knows already, but this book good start on Chadick family framework:

"A Genealogy of the Chadick and Chaddick Family Lines of the United States" by Wm. D. Chadick, Oracle Press, 1979.

I think it is out of print now.

Also, fyi - if anyone on Ancestry.com, I have added the info from that book on my CURLIN public tree, oldest is Charles Rowan Chadick.

I just recently found the name Charles Rowan Chadick while helping my kids do a geneaology search for their school. The Charles Rowan Chadick I listed, married to Elizabeth Crutchlow, had a son named William Davidson, born 1/22/1817. That is all I know. Maybe they had more children, but the Chadick line information that I have is not complete at all. If we are of the same line I would appreciate more information.

My paternal grandmother, Sofie Christine Chadick Cain, was the great grandaughter of Charles R. & Elizabeth Crutchlow Chadick. Christine had a brother named Isaac Stokely.Also, brothers William D. and Paul. I know very little of our line of Chadicks but obviously we are from the same line? I live in TX
There were quite a few Chadicks in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of TX in the 30s.

My husband's second great grand father was Charles Rowan Chadick. One daughter Miriam Chadick b. 25 Jan 1824 in Roane Co., Tn married Jesse C. Nicholson 2 Feb. 1858 at the Residence of James W. Chadick, Jefferson Co., Arkansas.
I have 10 children listed for Charles R. and Elizabeth Crutchlow Chadick.

My husbands' mother was a descendant of the Chadick line you list. It begins with Charles R & Eliz. C Chadick to James Watson the oldest son. James Watson m. Cynthia Mills and they were the parents of Miriam Chadick.
Miriam Chadick m. Jesse Nicholson and thier daughter Lucy Ann Nicholson was my Mother-in-laws, mother.

I just receive via USPS information on the grave site of Issac at Hughes Springs Cemetery, Cass Co., Tx. Another descendant shared this information plus addition things she has located. in and around Cass, Morris and Counties in TX.

Do you know Asa's parents name? There is a book in the library written about the Chaddick's. I am trying to trace a Thomas Chaddick. He was a son of Richard Chaddick and Jane Johns. I know some of the first Chaddick's came from South Carolina, then to Mississippi, to Louisiana,Oklahoma and Texas. If you haven't seen this book in the library I will try to get some info out of it for you, if you want.

The book I was talking about is A GENEALOGY OF THE CHADICK AND CHADDICK FAMILY LINES OF THE UNITED STATES BY W.D.CHADICK
I am not sure but Asa and Mary Eliza Isele were possibly Asa's parents. I have Asa married to Sarah R. Wallace on th 6th of Jan. 1852 in Cherokee, Texas.
I think I am going to try to go back to the State Archive in Baton Rouge Saturday and see what I can dig up there.
Where do you live? I live in Louisiana. My father in laws grandpa was Thomas J. Chaddick. He had a daughter named Hattie Bell Chaddick. I am trying to find out who he ws married to.
I'll let you know if I find out anything this weekend.
