I would like to know how I would go about finding out where and when my grandmother married Kenneth Udell Chafen? I know she was out in CA when she met him. And how can I find out where they had the marriage annuled? I asked my grandmother when she was alive but she could not remember. There was alot of things she kept to herself. I have no way of getting to any papers she may have had. My uncle got everything when she passed away. I've been told by Kenneth's son that he has passed away. I have tried to get more answers from Kenneth's son that I have found. But he has not answer back lately. Can I send off for Kenneth's birth cert.? I now have his birth date and I've known where he was born. Oh and how can I get old newspaper stories? I haven't had much luck doing this on my own. I live in a small town in North Carolina now. They have genealogy there. But I"m not sure if they could help me since my family is not from here. I'm still so confused about how to go about tracing my family tree.
