I'm looking for my grandfather. His name is Kenneth Udell Chafen born around 1923 in Cameron,Missouri. He had a brother Finis Chafen.

Kenneth Udell Chafen married my grandmother Agnes Mattie Rosiere from Marion,Kansas. Agnes was born January 21,1923. They had two sons together. Kenneth Leo Chafen {my father} and Ralph Dudley Chafen.

Kenneth Leo was born July 9,1943. And Ralph was born May 8,1945 in Wichita,KS.
Listed on Ralph's birth certificate it say that Kenneth Udell was in the US Army at time of birth.

How would I go about trying to find a living person? Who does not want to be found. But has been in touch with other's in my family only because I moved and they no longer know how to get in touch with me now since my grandmother/his mother has passed away. The person he got in touch with does not want to have anything to do with him. So she does not know how to get back in touch with him?

And how would I go about finding a marriage and divorce or annulment papers? I don't have a clue where they may have gotten married. But I know they met out in Calif.

I would like to know how I would go about finding out where and when my grandmother married Kenneth Udell Chafen? I know she was out in CA when she met him. And how can I find out where they had the marriage annuled? I asked my grandmother when she was alive but she could not remember. There was alot of things she kept to herself. I have no way of getting to any papers she may have had. My uncle got everything when she passed away. I've been told by Kenneth's son that he has passed away. I have tried to get more answers from Kenneth's son that I have found. But he has not answer back lately. Can I send off for Kenneth's birth cert.? I now have his birth date and I've known where he was born. Oh and how can I get old newspaper stories? I haven't had much luck doing this on my own. I live in a small town in North Carolina now. They have genealogy there. But I"m not sure if they could help me since my family is not from here. I'm still so confused about how to go about tracing my family tree.
