First, the info I gave out on Wm. Chain of Fayette Co. came from the Family History Ctr. I'm not stating as fact that Laine, Ireland is where he, Wm Chain, was from but that is what I found. It needs to be looked at more closely. My grandfather found in Ellis's History of Fayette Co. on page 786 that William Chain was an early resident of Tyrone...he had three sons,Robert,John, and William. Robert lived on the homestead, John near him and William went to Westmoreland Co. Hugh Chain, a son of one of the three brothers built Chains Mills, situated on Jacob's Creek. William Chain Sr. was auditor in 1789,94, 98.

That is all I have on my gr-grandmother's family. If you have more detailed info on her parents or her brothers or other siblings I would love to have a copy. Thanks!
