Re: William de Chalfonte

So I don't think Henry de Chalfonte had a surviving male line. From various English history sources, the original Henry de Chalfonte married Maud from the old Gerunde family. She inherited estates, which Henry oversaw. His Son Thomas inherited everything fully, but he died 3 years after his father. The estates were then inherited by the grandson, named Henry, who died with only a daughter, Christian in 1386. The remaining titles and lands of the Chalfonte surname (Chalfhunts) from this line were usurped by another family in Kent later on. Hence, I don't think William is a direct male descendent from Henry, but I don't know anything about whether Henry had brothers, cousins, etc... with the Chalfonte name.

I'm sorry, but I don't personally have any information on Chalfont relatives from London. I mainly trace my direct line that came to the USA in 1699 from Buckinghamshire. You may or may not find this website from another Chalfont descendant helpful: http://www.paperdolls.org/chalfant.html.

Hi,

I'm descended from a Chalfont whose family came from London in the 1700's. A long way from the 1400's!! But if you have anything that you can share that starts to bridge that gap, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

Regards.

dau. of Angelo Antonio and Erminia (Salvino) Tucci. b. on or about 29 June 1914 in Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia. Moved to Los Angeles, Calif. and died their on or about 24 Apr., 1980. Had brothers, Dominic V. Salvo (Silvio), Julius (Guilio), William and Richard C., had sisters Angelina and Mary. Would like to know descendants and husband(s)'s name(s). Will share what I have. This is a new and axcilliary line for me. It is not directly connected to our lineage except with one individual. Angelo's brother Dominick Tucci who lived in Washington, D.C. and died in 1954 is connected to our family through his marriage to Veneranda Panza.

William de Chalfonte

We have traced our line back to William de Chalfonte in the mid 1400's. His wife's name is not known to us, only listed as "Mrs.". His son William, married Margaret Artbroke. We would be interested to know if anyone has traced this farther back than this. Let us know. We did find a Henry de Chalfont from the early 1300's but cannot find a direct link to him or any other earlier "Chalfants, Chalfonts or variations of the spelling".

Dr. Georgia Chalfont

I am trying to do some research on my step-great-grandmother. Her name is Dr.
Georgia Chalfont. I am not sure when she was born, but she died in 1961. She
married my great-grandfather, William J. Wagner, in 1928. I know that she was
an osteopathic physician on Main St. in Pella Iowa in 1918. I would like to
learn more about her practice and more about her specifically. Would I go to
the Marion Co. Gen. Society to research about her medical practice?? I am not
sure how long she was practicing, but maybe someone remembers her or the
practice.
