Hello, Helen. Thank you for making a reply to my query. I do have some information on your husbands family lines, but have never been able to prove connections of them to my hubby's line. I suspect, but have not proven, that a David Chalmers, b. May 1819, who married on 30 Apr 1844 our Ann Chalmers b. Jan 1821, was a son of your James Chalmers & Margaret Meil. The naming pattern would fit, but it would also fit James Chalmers and Margaret Miller. If we new what the "M" initial in his and our Annie's daughter stood for it would certainly help. Perhaps you have some information from your research that could help us in that quest. Since Chalmers is my hubby's maternal line, we could not do much in the "Goon". We have had the 67 marker test done on my hubby and plan to have the mtDNA test done on the sample FT now has. I will be happy to share any information I have. Feel free to contact me directly.
