Lamond Chamberlain was born, 31 Jan 1923, in Alton, Kane Co., Utah, and died, 17 May 1981, in Riverside, California. He was married to Ruby Robertson, with two known children, Douglas and Scott. Lamond was 1 of 8 children of Guy Chamberlain (1892-1970) and Vera Heaton (1900-1977), residents of Kanab, Kane Co., Utah. A brother of Lamond, Thomas Mac Chamberlain, is recorded in my research notes as follows:
A twin. He is evidently the Jonathan M. Chamberlain, grandson of Thomas Chamberlain, b. 14 Jul 1854, who is compiling a history of the descendants of Thomas and his many descendants by 6 wives, before the 150th anniversary of Thomas's birth, 14 Jul 2004, with a family reunion to be held that weekend in Kanab, UT. Jonathan says he has records on approximately 7000 descendants, with family group sheets, etc., showing LDS ordinance data for each individual, but lacks about that many more. He is searching for descendants of David Chamberlain, b. 21 Sep 1880, and Thomas Chamberlain Jr., b. 24 May 1876, and is also selling copies of the book, One Hundred Years of Chamberlains, printed 1954, by Annie Esplin, for $18.00 including P&H. They removed from England in the fall of 1848. The father and mother came the following fall, followed by brother George and family. [Unclear whether George is a Chamberlain or a Whale]. They paused at Alton and then removed to Council Bluffs in 1850. Removed again to Salt Lake City, UT. Removed to Tooele Fort, UT, where Thomas died 11 Oct 1857, age 36. Birth information from IGI.
