I have a James (Wright)Chambers. It is said that his name was Wright and that he was a Cherokee Indian slave and that he took the name of his owner Chambers. It has also been said that his wifes family disowned her because she married a Indian. Her name is Emily Johnson, her parents were plantation owners.
