I am seeking a CHAMBERS, male, born 1735-1740 (approx). Born somewhere in the Chambersburg, PA to Hagerstown, MD region of the country.
This CHAMBERS married an Ann [W]. Ann was born about 1740 in Frederick/Washington County, Maryland.
CHAMBERS and Ann may have married between 1756-1760.
CHAMBERS and Ann had children by 1775 (according to Ann's father's will). These children were not listed by name.
The ONLY 'proof' I have is Ann's father's will stating the following:
"Secondly, it is my Will and I do hereby allow that Ann CHAMBERS Part shall be continued in the hands of my Executors for the use of her and the said Ann CHAMBERS Children to be equally divided amongst them, and their respective parts to be paid to them as they come of age and for no other purpose."
I'm chasing ghosts here...trying any leads I can think of.
It sounds like Ann's father wasn't very impressed with her husbands character. Or could it have been that Ann married a widowed CHAMBERS and called his children her own?
I don't know...I really need a break on this one!
