MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Fred 'Fritz' Davis Chambers, 68, Muscatine, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Lutheran Homes.
Services were at Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington.
Mr. Chambers was born on Jan. 15, 1934, in Bonaparte, the son of Fred and Pearl L. Davis Chambers. He married Nancy Sedore in 1957. He later married Barbara Sill.
He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for 30 years and the H.J. Heinz Co. for nine years.
He was a member of the Railroad Locomotive Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Chambers of Muscatine; his first wife, Nancy Sedora Lawrence of Muscatine; three daughters, Freda Van Houten, Katie Chambers and Maggie Chambers, all of Muscatine; a son, Fred Chambers III of Muscatine; two brothers, Glenn Chambers of West Point and Bill Chambers of Bonaparte; two sisters, Vivian Douthart of Bonaparte and Virginia Taylor of West Burlington; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
