My maiden name is Champ.

My father name was Francis Champ. He was born in Cadet, Mo and died in Old mines, Mo.. (Married Virgie Politte)

His father name was Joseph Francis Champ. He was born and died in Cadet, Mo.. Married Maggie Courtaway (different spellings to her name.) When she pass away, he married Emma Politte)

His father name was George Champ. ( He married Alice house.)

As far as Champ being a French name, that has been question. I always believed it is a French name. Before my dad pass away French was spoken in our home. Some people said it is an English name.

I also heard of a Pete Champ in the family, but I cannot find it now.

Do you recognize any of the names above?

Do you recogenized any of my surnames below?

I really hope we can make a connection.
Please write back.
Janet
