Unfortunately I can't add anything as I don't know of any connection between this family and Martha Champ, my husband's ancestor. I have also been in touch with Lewis sale and know that he has gathered a lot of information n various Champ families as part of his one name study. I don't know anything about a Hugenot connection, but as the name Champ seems to go back a long way in Berkshire it doesn't seem that likely.As I don't even have definite parents for 'our' Martha and haven't been able to trace a line back, my knowledge is very limited. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
