Looking for any information or descendants of any Champ family of West Hendred in what was then Birkshire, England.
Thomas Champ, son of John Champ, married Caroline Ward at Sutton Courtaney, Birkshire in 1848. They immigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1859 with 4 children.
Three of the children died of Scarlet Fever on the voyage and they had another 4 children in Queensland with one of those dying in infancy. Four daughters survived to marry and have children, Sarah Ann Mole, Emma Christsen, Charlotte Hampson and Martha Ward Puckering.
