Celia Ree Harrison Triggs Chandler Celia Ree Harrison Triggs Chandler age 76, of Erie, died Friday September 26, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness. She was born in Heidelberg, Mississippi on October 12, 1931 a daughter of the late Fado and Celia Jones Harrison. Celia worked at Hamot for several years as a lab technician. She was a lifelong member of St. James A.M.E., and also the Oak Park Alumni Association. She loved her family and cooking. Celia was also a proud breast cancer survivor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Frank Triggs,

her second husband Hubert Chandler;
two children: Jeffery Chandler and Wanda Chandler Jones; four sisters: Katie Mae Cherry, Mamie Edna Cooley, Mable Jones, Helen Harrison, and two brothers: John William Harrison and Q.C. Harrison. Survivors include her children: Johnny O. Triggs III and his wife Sandra of Erie, Shelia Chandler and her significant other Ben of Erie, Alvento (Bee) Chandler Sr. and his significant other, Tracy Robison also of Erie; nine grandchildren: Tawnyea, Shayla, Ben, Alvento Jr. (AJ), Kristopher, Shoanda, Shavonne, Celinna, and Candace; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her close friend Eloise Henry; step granddaughters Marcie Boyer and Vanessa Robison and a step great granddaughter Rita Champlain. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W 10th Street on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with a service Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church with Rev. Dr. Eugene Schoofield officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Thanks to the caregivers, neighbors and friends.
