Karen...This could be the same James. My James was listed in the 1855 census in Chanengo Co. as living with John M Chappell and Mary D--he was listed as James brother and he was a harness maker. Would you have anything more on them? I am very interested in Eugene Chappell which would be James nephew. I can give you some info on John M if you need it. Not much but a little.
