I am unable to link this man to the sea of Chapins descended from Deacon Samuel (and would LOVE to!). Joseph apparently born in Hanover Green, NY (not my research), moved to Ontario, had 10 children, moved with 9 of them to PA. My husband descends from the son left behind. One of HIS children listed ancestry as "WELSH" on a census.
Anyone have this man in their database, or info on any Chapin family living up near Lake Ontario in the early 1800's? Would appreciate any info. gloria
