Saw your posting on the Fond du Lac board regarding the CHAPIN family. My ALexander BRYAN came from New York and settled in Waupun. Found him and wife, Samantha on 1870 census NW part of Waupun 1870. I am trying to identify Alexander's parents and think they were Olive CHAPIN and REUBEN BRYAN of Onondaga County, NY. Am interested in any of the Chapins that were in Fond du Lac, since that might help me determine how they are related to the BRYAN line. It appears as though Alexander came through Beaver Dam and had a son born there in 1865 and a duaghter born in 1870, probably Waupun. Chapin is a name closely associated to the Bryans. Thanks for your help.
