I've been trying to locate info about my grandmother C(or S)depending on who spelled it,Celina Marie Charest born in Sherbrooke,P.Q.her parents were Louis Charest and Marie Louise Trudell Charest.My grandmother lived in Vt.and eventually moved to Middletown,Ct and died there about 1952.we have found at least to 20 variations of the spelling of the last name.i.e.Carter,Charest Chartier,Choret.Chaurette,etc.I still have relatives in Vt.Frank Charest.did not know my grandfather and do not know his siblings names.My grandmother had a sister mary.brother Frank,louis and don't know the rest.She was born in 1881.Her husband was Louis Wood,Woods.DuBoisThe last being the French version.He also was born in Sherbrooke,P.Q. and died in Vt.in 1939.Thanks for any info.please respond to my email at Mohawkahnawake@aol.com thanks so much.Onen'Diane
