We just switched ISP, so I am
a bit behind checking my messages. This is awesome! I am
the ggrandaughter of Mary Agnes Charley. I am not sure how
Michael and Patrick are related. Quite unsure why Patrick
did not go into the brick business. Please e-mail me!

Mary

I believe I'm looking for the same family. My GGGF John Charley also came from Roscommon, to LaSalle. He was born in 1820,and also had brothers named Patrick & Michael. I went to LaSalle and got alot of info from their geneology program. John married Catherine(Kate) Mullooly, and had Anna,Michael,Patrick,Thomas,William,John, and Bridget. Michael was my GGF,he married Sarah Tracy, and was also the mayor of LaSalle at one time. They had William, Lola,Michael Francis(Frank),Edmund, and Raymond, who is my grandfather. I have alot of dates and marriages also if you need them.

Researching Surnames: Charley, Dyer, Davern. Some sime between 1840(birth) and 1860(marriage) Patrick Charley and Mary Jane Dyer came to USA from Ireland. Son William Charley, born 1862, married Mary Davern who also came from Ireland. All this documented, but can't find where in Ireland they came from and where is USA they were naturalized (or if). Have much info to share.
