Please can anyone help me with information on Harry or Harold Charlton born 1825. I believe him to be my ggggrandad. My ggrandma Alice Charlton was married to Thomas Hargreaves and I have had no problem finding them on censuses. However, Harry shows on the 1891 census as living in Oldham with Alice and Thomas and is listed as the Head's fatherinlaw, aged 66. I have also found reference to Harry Charlton's death the following year 1892 , aged 67, in the BMD Death Index so he was legally known as Harry. I keep coming across a Henry Charlton with a daughter Alice with the same age. Is it possible that Henry and Harry are the same peron? I really would appreciate any information anyone can give me.
