W. H. CHARTER, AGED ARBUCKLE FARMER DIES
After an illness of more than one year William H. Charter, an elderly rancher of ARBUCKLE, died at his home four miles south of that place yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Moving to ARBUCKLE from Corning about ten years ago the Charter family settled on a small ranch and have actively farmed it ever since. At the time of his death the deceased was more than 80 years of age. He is survived by his widow.
About one year ago Charter fell and broke his leg. Ill effects from which he never completely recovered followed. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Charter, seven of whom reside in the ARBUCKLE and Dunnigan sections. They are: Ward, Harry, Delbert and Halbert Charter and Mrs. Ralph Schleich, Mrs. Neil Dulin and Mrs Charles W. Weir. The latter two sons are engaged in farming in the Delevan section.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p. m. from the Baptist church in ARBUCKLE, with Rev. Cutler officiating. Interment will be made in the ARBUCKLE cemetery under direction of J. D. McNary & Son.
