Surnames: Roberts, Hurst, Charner,
My ggrandfather is James Charner ? Roberts. He was born in Atlanta Ga in 1859. Married Mary E Hurst Jan 6,1889 , father Guilford M. Hurst, in Etowah Alabama. Ggrandpa Jim says his parents were born in S. Carolina father in 1806 and mother in 1810
I am thinking his middle name is a family name. Perhaps someone can help. Has been a brick wall for a long time.Were there any Charners or Charters in the Carolinas?
