My grandmother, Sarah Ella Chase, was born in Illinois around 1880, according to the 1900 and 1910 censuses. She was brought to Azle, Texas, near Fort Worth by her father in the 1890's. Her father put her in the care of a family named Daugherty in Azle, left to find work, and never returned. She married my grandfather, John Rothlis, of Azle, in 1896 and was the mother of four boys: Albert Fredric, John Henry, Charles Theodore, and William Lewis. She had a stepdaughter named Maude Frances. She died in Fort Worth, Texas, on 13 July 1931 and was buried in the Murr-Copeland Cemetery. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
