John Paul Chasse

Looking for info on my grandfather. He was born may 10, 1885 in Clare New Brunswick. As a young man he moved to Fort Kent Me where he married Josephine Clavette. They eventually moved to Somersworth NH where they raised 14 children. I don't know much about his siblings as some died young I believe he had a brother who settled in Lewiston Me

Hi,
My name is David George Emile Chasse III and I am working on a family tree project for a history class.

My problem is that my grandfather, David George Emile Chasse Sr. was killed in a car wreck in 1962 in North Carolina. He is believed to have been born in Maine, was a marine, and was 38 years old when he was killed.

Sadly, my family knows next to nothing about him as he was killed the very year my father was born, in 1962. Family members are said to have participated in a Chasse family parade in Maine, or New England area at any rate.

If we could find more information about my grandfather, his parentage and grandparents, it would be an important goal not only for this history class, but a personal family goal as well. We feel much of our history is unknown, but NOT unknowable!

Hey folks! I am looking for information about the ancestors and descendants of Marie-Louise Meilleur (1880-1998), Canada, daughter of Pierre Chasse and Febronie Levesque (Chamberlain?). Married twice, to Etienne Leclerc (dead 1911) and Hector Meilleur (dead 1972). Anyonw who have info about her children and their descendants? Marie-Louise Meilleur was 117 when she died in april 1998, having been predeceased by 8 of her 12 children. Thanx!!

My Grandfather is Louis Joseph Chasse. DOB:7-26-1912. Death: 5-13-93 in Portland Oregon. He was Married to Annie Marie Huotari on 3-26-32 in Maine. He had 2 sisters, Muriel Chasse who married Hartley Leach in 1939 in Kennebunkport, Maine later moving to the Biddeford area and Raymonde Chasse who was married in 1964 to F.J. Wetmore in Maine. She is believed to now be in Ca. Muriel passed.Father to Louis is said to be Henry Chasse of Quebec area. Mother unknown. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.
