i know he lived in VT , TX i think mother n father from Quebec can

Just passing on some info and ideas folks.In either the 1891 or 1901 Kingston,Ontario,Canada census I found the name Chaussey.Not sure of other names.It looks like Chaussee is one of several name variations.If your stuck in your search try some alternates like Shosie,Chausse,Shosey.
I've found almost 30 name variations for Sauve in North America alone.The names get varied depending on location and who's recording them.

I am looking for the name of my grandfather who died in the 1970's in a Gresham Oregon hospital. I thought it was "Robert" although, I cannot locate him in the SS index. His mother is:

HELEN CHAUSSEE
SSN 535-28-1677 Residence: 98312 Bremerton, Kitsap, WA
Born 2 Nov 1900 Last Benefit:
Died 21 Nov 1992 Issued: WA (Before 1951)

I know this because I have a book she had written "The Little Bakery Girl". If you know what Helen's husbands name was, also Chaussee, I need that also.

This is what I know from my grandmother Marian Adele Chaussee (1926-1996). She married Robert Chaussee (1920-1975). His mother was Helen Chaussee (1900-1996), she married a French Canadian named William H.
Chaussee, although I am not positive about the H. middle name. Family was from Canada and I believe he may have died in a war or many years prior to Helen. They lived in Bremerton Washington, which is close to the border of Canada.
Helen Chaussee published a book called "The little Bakery Girl" by Helen D.Chaussee, a autobiography written for her grandchildren great grandchildren.
