Cheadle's in Morgan County Ohio~ Article from Morgan County Democrat 1894

Just started looking for Cheadle line and found this article about son of John Devin & Nancy Cheadle in Morgan County Democrat August 31, 1894.
John was son of Asa Jr & 3rd wife Sarah Devins Cheadle.
Article states:
A good deal of excitement has been occasional out about Todd's in Marion Township over the "white-capping" of Madison Cheadle which took place Saturday evening near midnight. 'Madge' is a very disturbing element in that neighborhood. He indulges in unnecessary gossip and it is claimed, sometimes appropriates to his own use the property of his neighbors. Whether this "white-capping" orginated among those who have become so tired of him for the above reasons that they thought to teach him a lesson or whether, as he claims, it grew out of resentment towards him because he was successful in court in obtaining certain property, will probably be developed at the trial. Nevertheless, as Madge says, eight persons called at his house where he lives alone, an old batch , and finding the door locked,smashed it in and taking him out-side, proceeded to give him a sound threshing with whips, clubs and stones. He was left, as he says, more dead than alive. Five of those whom he claims to have recognized were arrested Monday and brought before Mayor Stewart and the trial is set for tomorrow.
Those arrested were John Leasure, Elmer Cheadle, Geo. Greathouse, Wm. Daugherty and John Carr.
The bond for their appearance was placed at $200 each. The charge is assault with intent to kill. While Madge is no doubt a very undesirable citizen, yet we have laws to protect society and there is no excuse at this day for white-cap parties.
( I find through looking that this isn't the first time Madison has encountered trouble in the area, prior to this he was accused of setting fire to the Todd's Church/Schoolhouse. Charges were dismissed)
~Out of the 5 men Madison claimed to have recognized, 4 were related, brother Elmer Cheadle, brother in laws Geo. Greathouse & John Leasure and neices husband Wm. Daugherty.)
I am looking for any information about this article or anything on Madison Family - he was brother to great-great grandmother Mary Ann Cheadle Adrian.
